Congratulations to our Christmas Sand Drag Winners!

Rain...rain..and more rain! Rain was the word of the day for our scheduled Christmas Sand Drag on Dec 26th. All week long it came down hard...hard enough to turn half of the park into a muddy mess. Come Sunday morning, the day after-Christmas...even with one day of sun, it simply wasn't enough to dry everything out. With respect towards the Navy and the use of their road, George Grace III, decided to postpone the Christmas Sand Drags until Jan 2nd. And although January 2nd came without rain, it was still wet and dirty; it was just how we like it!

It wasn't just the rain that took it's toll at this event, but the month long holiday really took its toll on participants and drivers alike; both on their wallets and their time. In an effort to share some Christmas cheer, December's (now January!) Christmas Sand Drags was a double-purse event! In effect, every entry fee paid towards the purse was doubled by KRP & Paradise Lua owners, George & Jeanette Grace III! Much mahalos to them for continuing to support our racers and our spectators!

For those of you that were unable to make it, we hope that you'll join us for our January 30th, 2011 event...the first official season Test N' Tune FOR POINTS! These points will be tallied up at the end of the year for a shot at the overall Points Championship, so its important to attend all of the Quarterly Test N' Tunes! The mandatory Driver's Meeting for this event is Jan 19th at The Sandbox on Sand Island!

We'll also be giving away a Flat Screen TV to a lucky spectator plus even more prize give-aways so make sure you come out and join the fun!

In addition to doubling the winning purses for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, KRP also gave tons of sponsored prizes from 4Wheel Parts, Montgomery Motors, and our good friends at Aloha Automotive Distributing! These companies generously donated tons of prizes for our valued spectators, so we invite you all to please check out their stores! We support those who support us, and we hope that you will join us! Sand Drags Driver's Meeting - Jan 19th, 2011

Attention Sand Drag Racers!

A mandatory Driver's Meeting will be held at 6PM on Wednesday, Jan 19th, 2011 at "The Sandbox" on Sand Island. We're holding the meeting here as a courtesy for our windward participants. If it's important for you to keep your race number and you want know how the 2011 program will be ran we recommend that you attend. We will discuss the new rules for 2011.

If you've never been to the Sandbox, it's an offroad park that's being developed on Sand Island. The directions are simple, after crossing the bridge, simply take a right at the first stoplight.

We're sorry to announce that due to inclement weather, Sand Drags has been moved to Jan 2nd! Although the rain has let up, the pit and return road is a swamp. We apologize for the inconvenience!

Join us on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 for more exciting Sand Drag Racing! This will be a double-purse event with gates openining at 8AM. Join us for elimination style racing all day long! Plus, we've got some great give-aways thanks to 4Wheel Parts, Montgomery Motors, Island 98.5, and our good friends at Aloha Automotive Distributing! Come on out and celebrate the New Year with your friends at Kalaeloa Raceway Park!

Congratulations to our NAPA Sand Drag Challenge Winners!

Congratulations to the winners of our first-ever NAPA Sand Drag Challenge!

KRP hosted our Thanksgiving weekend event on Saturday, Nov 27th where we gave away tons of goodies and prizes to our spectators, while our participants took it to the line in our first ever Sand Drag race! Sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts, the park showcased an exciting day of racing and provided us some much needed feedback on improving the event in preparation for the coming 2011 Season!s

In addition to the racing, we gave away a fabulous trip for two to the Las Vegas American Country Awards! Lawrence Smith Jr., one of our HulaCross participants, was the lucky winner and we heard had a great time in LV! Thanks for being a supporter Lawrence! We also gave away 10 keys to Montgomery Motors' Cruise Into Christmas Suzuki Boulevard Give-Away! On December 18th, 1 of 40 keys will be the one that starts and wins a brand new Suzuku Boulevard! We'll announce the winner as soon as its known!

The racing was hot and heavy as tons of drivers showed up to take the purses for 1st & 2nd place in a heads-up elimination race to the finish. We'd like to thank all of our drivers for coming out and putting on a great show for our audience.
