HulaCross Wheel2Wheel Racing on Sunday, December 12th!

We'd like to thank you for your past participation and invite you to the next HulaCross event to be held on Sunday, December 12th, 2010 at Kalaeloa Raceway Park! SCCA Folks, we're sorry but we're unable to hold it on our normal day because we'll be participating in the Kapolei Light Parade. FYI, All future events should fall on the second Saturday of every month.
With the holiday season upon us, we know that your time is valuable, but we appreciate your support in developing HulaCross over the past few months. We would like to present our preliminary rules for the upcoming 2011 HulaCross Season. Please take the time to read through the new changes we'll be making as well as noting the new safety requirements. The morning practice will be exactly the same as the last event, with open lapping. The afternoon, however, will introduce two new divisions: Hulagan Racing & HulaCross.

PLEASE NOTE: The Official HulaCross rules are not FINAL. They will be discussed at the Dec 12th with our participants. That is why we're not requiring anything to be done for this event. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable and understands the safety requirements for the vehicles.
Hulagan Racing = Wheel 2 Wheel Racing
The 12th will be a landmark event for us as we will be introducing for the first time ever, a flag-to-flag wheel-2-wheel racing component. Willing participants will compete in a lapped race with the first person across the finish line as the winner! This upcoming event will be considered as a trial basis. Due to the short notice, we will not require you to have all of the safety equipment for the December 12th event, but it is highly recommended. To participate in the 2011 Hulagan Racing series you WILL BE REQUIRED to have all of the safety equipment indicated as necessary within the attached rules. Safety equipment noted as recommended are not mandatory but are EXTREMELY encouraged.
We will be re-introducing the use of timers at this next event. For all former Super Lap Series competitors, you may remember the small Hot Lap Timers purchased from www.pegasusautoracing.com. We will be using these once again, so if you still have your old timers, then please make sure to bring them out to the events. For those of you that do not have the Hot Lap Timers, we have 8 of them for rent ($10) which will most likely allow us to run the entire field if we swap them out between runs.
FYI, the old timer design has been discontinued. The new version is called the Hot Lap LTI In-Car Timing System, and retails for about $249 for the entire system. It's very high-tech and works with our current transmitter. We have a great contact with Coyer Enterprises which will allows to do a group buy for the 2011 Season for a much reduced price. Interested parties, please let me know. If you don't rent or have your own timer, you won't be able to get a time for the events. We'll have the group-buy information available soon.
In addition, we request that for this event, you ensure that your assigned vehicle number is in a highly visible location, and that for each run you ensure that it is clean and legible. We intend to use the same numbers as the last event to make sign-up as easy as possible.
