Hello all,

At the following link you'll find a "Petition to Save Kalaeloa Raceway Park".  We're asking for your help and support in gathering signatures via the following request:

"We the undersigned petition the Hawaiian Homes Commission and the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to
preserve the race track set up by SORT LLC because it is unique and there is no other race track available on the
island of Oahu and there is no other place to bring Hawaiian and other youths at risk to teach them automobile
and truck mechanics, suspensions and body and fender dynamics and repairs and the taking away of this facility
and training area will irreparably harm these children and teenagers in both the Hawaiian community and the
community at large. We respectfully request the Hawaiian Homes Commission to reconsider its past action taken
on June 16, 2014 and hold another public meeting where we can attend and give testimony about the value of this
facility."

Attention Stock Car Racers: 2014 Rules

ATTENTION STOCK CAR RACERS

As it was mentioned, at the last driver meeting, the 2014 Class Rules should be in preparation by you, the racers.  It is up to each individual class to come together and work out the rules for that class.  When we call for the individual class meetings, you are to bring your completed rules and we will discuss and vote on it at that time, if necessary.  Please keep in mind that only the "driver" or "owner" of the currently registered vehicle in the 2013 race season will be able to qualify to vote (one vote per car).  This registered vehicle must have actively raced during this season.  If you have not raced this season, you may still attend the class meeting and put in your input, you just cannot vote.

Note:  In certain classes, there are certain rules and allowances that the track made, that will not be changed.  This will be discussed at the class meeting.

WATCH THE WEBSITE FOR DATES & TIMES FOR YOUR CLASS MEETING.

HulaCross Race & Results - Jul 14, 2013

The heat races for the stock car classes have just finished and the water truck gives the track a quick spray as the gradeall adjusts a few tires between stock car track turns 2 and 3 to create a chicane for the otherwise oval track. Today's chicane is much broader than the one created for last mont's event, and not as wet, which should provide for better passing and faster racing. Pairs of cars are brought out for three laps each to both provide a little practice time as well as to work the water into the track. The only significant action in this practice was the failure of the 13 driven by Clifton Poteet. Cliff had obviously spent many hours making sure the 13 looked good for the event with a very patriotic approach, but the engine failed Cliff with what sounded like a worsening rod-knock that seized up after his second practice lap, forcing him to be towed off the track. Once everyone had a chance to learn the circuit and the track was deemed ready it was time forthe HulaCross heat races.
