The entire family here at Kalaeloa Raceway Park would like to extend our warmest appreciation and thanks to our competitors, sponsors, spectators, friends and family for your gracious support throughout the past six years. We have loved and enjoyed every minute of it, and we hope you did as well. Motorsports is in our blood, and although the gates have been closed, it isn't over yet.
Although we have ceased operations, our fight carries on through the legal system where we will continue to battle for our rights and the need for a motorsports facility here on Oahu. Rest assured that we are not giving up, and this is not the end. We look forward to racing with all of you again in the near future.
If you'd like to send a letter of support, we'd appreciate it. Simply click on the main banner at the top of the page. We'll have updates on our legal battle here, so please keep an eye out on our site.
Until that time, mahalo for your support, and stay safe.

It is with great sadness that we announce that Mr. George Grace III, Managing Member of Save Oahu's Race Tracks, LLC, (SORT) has lost right of possession of the property on which Kalaeloa Raceway Park (KRP) stands to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) after years of fighting against the current administration for fair and equal treatment.
KRP is a grassroots multi-venue motorsports facility dedicated to providing a home for motorsports enthusiasts and their families since opening in 2010. Family-friendly events such as Stock Car, Sand Drags, HulaCross, SCCA RallyCross, MotoCross, and more have been held on a regular basis since that time. With the loss of possession, the only four-wheeled motorsports venue on the island will now cease operations.
We hold Governor Neil Abercrombie and his administration directly responsible for refusing to work with KRP. Under its direction, the DHHL, Hawaiian Homes Commission, as well as the State Attorney General's Office has been unyielding and has completely refused to allow KRP to work through its issues even after being advised by the Senate Committee on Hawaiian Affairs (HWN) to do so due to DHHL's act of proven Detrimental Reliance against KRP.
This is after a comprehensive effort to support Gov Abercrombie during his 2010 election run for Governor of the State of Hawaii . He stated clearly to several KRP representatives that he would support our efforts to construct and operate a motorsports facility during a meeting on August 10th, 2010 (See attached photo). Mr. Grace actively campaigned for Abercrombie in his election bid, including driving moving billboards up and down the streets of Oahu on containers specially created for the potential Governor's campaign (See attached photo).
In return for our concentrated efforts, we have received nothing but false promises from the current administration, and as such, we can no longer support Governor Abercrombie in his quest for re-election.
We ask that all motorsports enthusiasts support Kalaeloa Raceway Park in our fight to remain open and active.
We also ask that you support the opponents of Governor Abercrombie in the upcoming election this Saturday.
KRP will continue to fight to remain open and will actively pursue our rights in our lawsuit against the DHHL.

As many of you know, we have had a hard fight with the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands. Last year, we prepared a video presentation for the Hawaiian Homes Commission detailing the importance of the track and our island's motorsports future. Unforunately, our request for the time to sit down and work through the problem's facing us fell on deaf ears.
At this Commission meeting as well as the other two times we asked for help and resolution. These meetings resulted in a loss of quorum and we have not had redress since even after a recommendation by the Senate Committee on Hawaiian Affairs for just that.
We present this video to you, because we feel that it is special and details how bright our future could be if given the support needed to carry on our mission of returning motorsports to the island of Oahu for the young and for the young-at-heart.
Please join us in our fight...sign the petition at Change.org.
OUR COURT DATE ON JULY 29TH IS POSTPONED. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND.
